Headsets

A headset is recommended for use with softphones for the best experience with Merge’s Connect service.

Noise cancelling, wired USB headsets are recommended – traditional non-USB (3.5mm jack) wired headsets are typically designed more for audio playback and frequently provide for a poor VOIP or SIP experience.

Merge offers only one model of headset.

Jabra Biz 620

The Jabra Biz 620 is a USB headset designed for use with modern VOIP and SIP services.

SIP Adaptors

SIP Adaptors (also known as Analogue Telephone Adaptors or ATAs) allow traditional telephones to be used with SIP services.

A traditional phone plugs into a SIP Adaptor which then plugs into your data network to access SIP services over your broadband connection.
